Sheldon Sevinor, 70, was arrested on Sunday and charged with possession of crack cocaine
A Massachusetts plastic surgeon who has been a guest on several national television programs, including The Oprah Winfrey Show, is facing drug charges.
Sheldon Sevinor, 70, was arrested on Sunday when officers conducting surveillance on a suspected drug dealer witnessed what appeared to be a drug transaction involving Sevinor, police said. Officers seized a total of five twist bags of what is believed to be crack cocaine, more than $1,500 cash on the suspected drug dealer and a flip phone, The Daily Item in Lynn reported.
Investigators had conducted the undercover surveillance on Sunday at the home of 61-year-old Johnnie Albert, who police described as a well-known drug user.
Albert was followed by police after getting into his car and driving to Mall Street where a grey Dodge allegedly driven by Sevinor was parked.
The two allegedly had a conversation before Albert drove away and Sevinor followed behind, police said.
They then pulled over on Hardwood Street where Sevinor drove to where Albert's car was parked, before Albert got out and walked over to Sevinor, police said.

Officers then allegedly witnessed Albert put his hands into Sevinor's car before pulling them out and placing something in his pants pocket.
After witnessing the alleged drug transaction, an officer approached Sevinor who allegedly reached his hand into his shirt pocket and pulled something out before appearing to throw it on the ground.
Officers said they saw several twists of what is believed to be narcotics fall out of his hand, police said.
When he got out of the car after officers asked him to exit, police said they saw two twist of what appeared to be crack cocaine on the driver's side floor of the car.
They also found two twists on the ground located outside the car and both men were taken into custody, police said.
